October is Pastor Appreciation Month!
From late night calls and visits, giving advice and prayer, to bible studies and leading in Worship, there are countless ways Pastor Bobby shepherds our church family. We are so grateful for his leadership, love and dedication to show the love of the Savior every day.
Join us this month in making a special effort to show how much his work is appreciated here at Pisgah! Whether it’s a simple text, a card or a treat, there are so many ways to say THANK YOU to Pastor Bobby.
Fall Festival
October 31
Join us for an evening of fall fun for the whole family at Pisgah ARP Church’s annual Fall Festival! This beloved community event is our way of opening our doors wide and welcoming our neighbors for a night of food, fun, and festive celebration.
Free Hotdog Dinner | 5:30 PM
Kick off the evening with a free hotdog dinner hosted by our Pisgah Women’s Ministries! Come hungry and enjoy a warm meal with your neighbors before the festivities begin.
Trick or Treat Street & Games | 6:15 PM
After dinner, make your way into our Family Life Outreach Center for Trick or Treat Street! Kids of all ages can enjoy trick or treating and carnival games in a safe, family-friendly environment. Rain or shine!
Costumes are encouraged, smiles are guaranteed, and everyone is welcome. Bring the whole family and invite your neighbors for a night your kids will be talking about all the way home! We can’t wait to celebrate the season with you! 🎃
Any of our church family who would like to serve during or before our Fall Festival, please sign up online or contact the church office. We are also accepting candy donations!
MidWeek Bible Study
Wednesdays at 6:15pm
Come feast on the Bread of Life together with your church family this Fall! This is a time of joint encouragement as we grow in faith and walk together as a Church Family.
On November 4 we will welcome our guest speaker, Chris Van Dalen. Chris is a World Witness missionary to Lithuania, and we are excited to have him with us.
On November 11 we will have our Appalachia Missions Team share with us about their summer missions trip.
Children and Youth will be journeying through the Biggest Story, discovering how every page of Scripture points to Jesus. Children will also have time in Children’s Choir where they will learn songs to sing during Worship on Sundays.
Pickleball
Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6PM
Come fellowship together and enjoy being active! Everyone is welcome, even if you’ve never played. We play twice a week in the Family Life Outreach Center (FLOC).
Backpack Ministry Fundraiser
October 23 - November 15
Support our Backpack Ministry in style! The Men’s Fellowship is selling t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies to raise funds for our Backpack Ministry.
We partner with the BackPack Weekend Food Program in Gaston County which provides weekend meals to 800-1,000 hungry students in Gaston County every week. Every item purchased goes toward making sure these kids have the nourishment they need to come to school ready to learn.
This is a great way to show your support for one of our most impactful community outreach ministries while repping your Pisgah church family!
You will be contacted when your items are ready for pickup at Pisgah ARP Church. All items must be paid for, either online or by check to the financial office, by November 15. Unpaid for items will not be ordered.

Watercolor Painting Class
November 3 at 10am
The Pisgah Community Club is hosting an ongoing autumn watercolor painting class, and it’s not too late to join in! Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the very first time or looking for a creative outlet to enjoy with friends, this relaxed and welcoming class is for you. No prior art experience is needed, just bring your creativity and a willingness to have fun!
Classes meet in the Pisgah Sanctuary Basement. For details on upcoming class dates and times, contact Pat Powell or the church office to get started. We’d love to have you join us!

Community Club

Come join Community Club in the Elliott Center for a warm and festive Thanksgiving program! It’s a wonderful time to gather with friends, share a meal, and give thanks together. Watch for a text message asking you to select the special Thanksgiving dishes you’d like to share, and we’ll see you there!
Middle School Bonclarken Retreat
November 13 - 15
Please join us in praying for our middle school students as they head to Bonclarken for the Fall Middle School Retreat! Pray that God would use this time away to draw each student closer to Him and deepen their faith.
Last Fall Midweek: OCC Packing Party!
November 18 at 6:15pm
Children, youth, and adults of all ages are invited to join us as we fill shoeboxes. We hope to pack at least 50 boxes together as a church family at our OCC Packing Party.
Help Us Fill OCC Shoeboxes
Each box requires a $10 donation to cover shipping, and we need to raise $500 to send them all. Please consider covering a box or two (or ten!). Checks can be made out to “Samaritan’s Purse” with Operation Christmas Child in the memo line.
We also need volunteers to help pack! We have plenty of items for packing, but if you have small, new items around the house on the OCC Approved Packing List that would make a child smile, you’re welcome to bring them along. Many hands make light work, and we can’t wait to see what God does through your generosity!
Operation Christmas Child Boxes Due
November 22
It’s that time of year, Operation Christmas Child boxes are here! Pick up an empty shoebox from the church office or Elliot Center Foyer, fill it with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies for a child in need, and return it to the church by November 22. What a simple and meaningful way to share the love of Christ with children around the world this Christmas season!
Thanksgiving Service
November 25 at 7pm
As we enter the season of gratitude, we invite you to join us for our special Thanksgiving Communion Service. This is a meaningful time to pause, reflect, and give thanks for God’s greatest gift to us, the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Around the communion table, we are reminded that every blessing we enjoy flows from His grace and love poured out on our behalf.
Come gather with your church family as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper together and lift our hearts in thanksgiving to the One who is the source of all good things. As Psalm 107:1 reminds us, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Hanging of the greens
November 28 at 9am
The most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner, and we need your help to get our church campus ready to celebrate! Join us for our annual Hanging of the Greens as we deck the halls, trim the trees, and ready Pisgah for the Advent Season.
This is a wonderful opportunity for all ages to serve our church family and usher in the Christmas season with joy. Many hands make light work, and there’s something truly special about preparing our worship spaces together as a church family in anticipation of celebrating the birth of our Savior.
Come ready to work, bring your Christmas spirit, and stay for the fellowship because decorating is always more fun together!
5th sunday breakfast

Join us for our 5th Sunday Breakfast before Sunday School! Come early and enjoy a morning of fellowship and good food with your church family. Whether you’ve been at Pisgah for years or are joining us for the first time, you have a seat at our table. It’s a wonderful way to connect, catch up, and start the Lord’s Day together before we gather for worship. We hope to see you there!
Christmas Community Family Movie Night
December 5 at 6PM
All aboard for a magical Christmas movie night! Join us for a festive evening featuring a beloved holiday classic about a young boy who takes a mysterious and magical train ride to the North Pole, discovering the true spirit of Christmas along the way. This is a night the whole family will love!
Snuggle up in your coziest (and modest!) pajamas, grab your camping chair or favorite blanket, and get ready for an enchanting evening together. We’ll provide free popcorn and hot chocolate. You just bring yourselves and your Christmas spirit!
This event is free and open to the entire community, held rain or shine in our Family Life Outreach Center gym. Invite your friends, neighbors, and anyone who loves a great Christmas story. The more the merrier!

Wedding Shower for Jonathan Baysden

Please join the ABC Sunday School Class in celebrating Jonathan Baysden as he begins this exciting new chapter of life! We are showering Jonathan with love and well wishes as he and his bride embark on their journey together as husband and wife.

Mcadenville - Christmas Family Walk
December 9 at 6pm
Join your Pisgah church family for an evening stroll through the magic of Christmastown in McAdenville! Each year, this beloved small-town tradition lights up the night with thousands of twinkling lights, and it’s even better when you share it with friends.
We’ll meet at the Burger King in Cramerton at 6:00 PM and walk Christmastown together. Bring your family, wear your warm layers and comfy shoes, and come ready for some festive fellowship under the lights.
All of the Pisgah church family is invited, so bring a friend and join the fun!

Our Women’s Circles are intimate community groups that combine Bible study, fellowship, and service projects. Whether you’re seeking deeper biblical understanding, meaningful friendships, or opportunities to serve, our Women’s Ministry welcomes you to join us as we journey together in faith.

Ways to Serve
Serve at Pisgah's Fall Festival
October 31
Help REACH OUT in love to our community by providing a safe place for families on Halloween and to share the love of Jesus.
During our Fall Festival we will be giving families opportunities to trick-or-treat, play carnival games, and do some crafts. We need volunteers to help make this night a success.
We need volunteers to serve in the following ways:
Candy Donations: we run out almost every year! Please drop off candy donations in the church office.
Day Of:
- Host a FLOC Door: decorate and pass out candy at a door in the FLOC!
- Run a Carnival Station

Serve at our first community Family movie night
December 5 at 6PM
Our Outreach Team needs your help at our first Community Movie Night! We need help with snacks & drinks, setting & cleaning up, and showing the love of Jesus to our community. You can sign up to volunteer below or by contacting the front office.
PWM Christmas Outreach Project
Due by December 13
Help the Pisgah Women’s Ministries bring Christmas joy to the teens at the Boys & Girls Club Teen Center! We are collecting $25 gift cards from Walmart or Target so these young people can enjoy a special Christmas.
You can drop your gift card in the box located in the secretary’s office now through December 13th, or give it directly to Barbara Oates, who will deliver all cards to the Teen Center.
Thank you for your generosity in showing the love of Christ to teens in our community!
PWM Recycling Initiative
PWM is once again collecting recyclable flat plastics for the NexTrex program. Once we reach 1,000 pounds, we’ll earn another bench!
Collection bins are located in the back hall of the Elliott Center, in front of the storage room off the kitchen.
Support CAM
Partner with us in caring for our neighbors through Crisis Assistance Ministry, our local food bank and community support partner. Your generosity helps provide meals, relief, and hope to families right here in our area. Whether you give food, resources, or time, every act of service makes a meaningful difference. Join us as we share Christ’s love in practical, compassionate ways.
Collection boxes are in the Elliot Center lobby.
Helping Hands
Our Helping Hands Ministry’s primary focus is to help our church family members in times of need. This ministry provides assistance in all walks of life: helping getting groceries or medications, providing rides to a doctor’s office, going on hospital visits, or preparing a Meal Train.

Handbells: Tuesdays at 6:30pm
Choir: WEDNESDAYS AT 7:30PM
Children's Choir: Sundays at 9:15AM until 5/10
Join our choir or our handbell choir to use your gifts on Sunday mornings!
You don’t need to sign up to volunteer. Just show up and come make music to the Lord!
Meals on Wheels
Volunteer with our Meals on Wheels team to bring a meal to seniors in our community and reach out to them in love.
Drivers are asked to deliver meals for one hour four times a year.
Backpack Ministry
Each week during the school year our Backpack Ministry Team reaches out to students in need in our community. We fill backpacks with groceries for families in need and distribute them to our local school.
Our Backpack Ministry is sponsored by our Men’s Fellowship.
Donate Food to CAM
July is Pisgah’s month to focus on donating food stuffs to Crisis Assistance Ministry. All donations can be dropped off in the Elliot Center foyer during the month of July.
Most needed items: Chicken Noodle Soup, Tomato Soup, Rice, Drive Beans, Instant Potatoes Canned Tuna, Canned Chicken, Ramen Noodles, Jelly, Pancake Mix and Syrup, Oatmeal, and Grits.
