Children's Ministry

Nurturing Young Faith

At Pisgah, we believe children are not just the future of the church—they are an important part of our church family today. We create environments where children can encounter Jesus, build lasting friendships, and develop a strong foundation of faith that will guide them throughout their lives.

Jesus’ words guide our approach to children’s ministry: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14). We take seriously the instruction in Proverbs 22:6 to “train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Like the faithful Israelites described in Deuteronomy 6:6-7, we believe in passing down our faith “when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

Our children’s ministry aims to partner with parents in this sacred responsibility of nurturing young disciples.

Worshiping Together

We have a variety of ways to help our youngest members of the faith worship on Sunday mornings.

For children three and younger, we have a dedicated nursery staff to help facilitate play during the Service. Our nursery is located in the Sanctuary basement.

For children Pre-K4 through First Grade, we have a “Children’s Church” program. Children will be dismissed during the service after our Children’s Message. Children will have a snack time, bible story and craft. This classroom is located in the church basement beside the nursery.

For children and students second grade and older, we encourage them to worship with us as a congregation on Sundays. This is so they can be learning and growing into adult worshippers.

Children are always welcome to worship with their family on Sundays. Their “joyful noises” are beautiful to God, and we love to hear them! If a child decides to stay in worship, we have special bags of coloring supplies located in the back and front of the church.

Growing Together

Throughout the year, our children have numerous opportunities to learn, serve, and grow in faith through opportunities like:

  • Sunday School classes for all ages
  • Pisgah Pathfinders, our Sunday afternoon program where children discover God’s Word through fun, faith-filled lessons and activities.
  • Service projects like Christmas caroling to our homebound members, collecting items for Crisis Assistance Ministry, and packing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes
  • Seasonal events including Bible Camp, Trunk or Treat, Christmas Play, and our Easter Egg Hunt
  • Family Days like Craft Day, Parent’s Night Out and Summer Cookouts

We invite your family to join us as we learn and grow together in Christ! Come be a part of our church family.
