Homecoming is one of our most cherished traditions at Pisgah ARP Church—a day when we gather together as a church family to celebrate God’s faithfulness, reconnect with old friends, welcome new faces, and give thanks for the rich history and bright future of our congregation. Whether you’ve been part of Pisgah for decades, visited us once years ago, or are just discovering our church for the first time, we would be honored to have you join us for this special celebration.
As Psalm 133:1 reminds us, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” Homecoming is a beautiful picture of that unity—bringing together past, present, and future generations to worship the God who has sustained our church family for over 200 years.
Morning Worship Service: Join us for a meaningful worship service featuring our guest preacher, Rev. Clint Davis, a former Pisgah member and current pastor of Chester ARP Church. We look forward to hearing God’s Word proclaimed by someone who knows and loves this congregation.
Potluck Lunch: After worship, we’ll gather for a delicious potluck lunch in our fellowship hall. Bring your favorite dish to share—whether it’s a treasured family recipe or a simple contribution—and enjoy the blessing of breaking bread together as a church family. There’s always plenty of food and even more laughter around the tables!
Ice Cream Party for Children: Following lunch, all children and youth are invited to an Ice Cream Party at the playground! It’s the perfect way for kids to enjoy the beautiful spring weather, make new friends, and celebrate this special day.
History Rooms Open for Tours: After lunch, we invite you to explore our Library and History Rooms. The Library is located in the hallway connecting the Elliott Center and FLOC, while the History Room is in the Sanctuary. Come discover photographs, artifacts, and stories from Pisgah’s 200+ year legacy in Gaston County.
Homecoming is for everyone. Invite your friends, neighbors, family members, and anyone who has ever called Pisgah home. Whether you attended decades ago or are curious about visiting for the first time, we would love to see you on May 3. Come reconnect with old friends, meet new faces, and experience the warmth of a church family that spans generations.
Mark your calendars. Spread the word. Come Home.
