This is the one permanent committee of the Session that uses persons outside the Session itself. It is a large committee, and to it is entrusted a large portion of the total work of the church. This committee is responsible for the entire teaching program of the church and church school. This included the selection of curriculum, appointments of teachers and youth workers, Midweek programs (speakers, special studies, Bible studies), communicants class, Bonclarken Conferences, youth work of all kinds, programs for members of the service, visual aids for all groups, summer recreational programs, housing and equipping the church school, as well as others.
Sunday School – Sunday School classes are offered for all ages from Pre-K to Adult classes. A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers.
Mid-week programs – Dinner is offered at 5:30 pm. Programs begin at 6:15 pm. Elementary School students have choir practice and a bible study class. Middle School and High School students meet separately and an adult program is also offered.
VBS – Vacation Bible School takes place during the summer and offers a fun, enjoyable Bible adventure for pre-K – Elementary students. Middle School and High School students help teach the younger participants.
Missionary Trips – The Youth participate in an Appalachia Mission trip every year during the summer. Occasionally, they also join with other special mission trips.
